Radiation was the 4th song recorded for the album back in February 2023, it is another powerful and moving song, this was a song that was developed a lot as a demo before I recorded the version you hear on the album, changes were made in the arrangement a few times and new ideas were created that changed the overall feel of the song.
I came up with the sequencer parts first, I liked how sparse they were, next came the main melody line, which works so well with the sequencer parts, I decided to add a further voice dialogue for the two verses, it was needed as it breaks up that element of the track, on these parts we delve into what radiation is.

This is a song I decided to take into a completely different direction around the 3-minute mark, a strong melodic synth part either side of a break section, that is eerie, and has a morse code message included, which does actually mean something, the morse code delivers the message “Chernobyl Critical incident”, repeated twice.
